Amazon Prime has been trying for a very long time to stay relevant in the gaming scenario and the Amazon Gaming service was a premium example of that. And now, Prime is all set to bring one of the most loved DC characters into a game that is set to garner a lot of love. The studio is bringing a new Batman game that will be launched on July 31, 2026, with the kick of Batman: The Caped Crusader’s new season.
As for the game, it is being dubbed Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles, and this is not going to be an action-dense, gritty game that will deal with the dark world around Batman. Instead, it is going to be a co-op party game where four players will work together as part of a special Gotham Police Department task force. Here, the players will be focusing on investigating crimes, questioning suspects, solving mysteries, and getting done with detective-themed mini-games in 11 episodic missions. Apart from that, the players will also get to some of the most notorious villains from the Batman universe, including Babyface, Joker, Dollmaker, and Scarecrow.
And this is not it; the Batman game is just the beginning, as Amazon is also combining its cloud gaming service, Luna, in Prime Video on all compatible Fire TV devices like in the United States and the UK. With this move, all Prime members will be able to launch games from the same application they use to stream movies and TV minus the requirement of a console. The gamers will be able to enjoy their favourite titles with an appropriate controller or with a smartphone as well. For those worrying about the cost, Batman: Caped Crusader – Chronicles will be available to play at no extra cost for all Amazon Prime subscribers. However, there is no information regarding the launch of the same in India. On that note, we will update this article as soon as we have information about the game’s debut in India.
