The Trump Phone, which once gained a lot of popularity all over the globe due to necessary reasons, may finally make a debut in the global market. As per the CEO of Trump Phones cited by USA Today, the phone will begin shipping to buyers this week. The announcement regarding the same came as reports have gone viral this week, suggesting that the pre-orders for the device have been cancelled.
Trump Mobile CEO Pat O’Brien put a stamp on the release plans to USA Today over email, telling the outlet that all the preorders will be fulfilled within the next few weeks. He also acknowledged the phone’s multiple delays – it is now more than 11 months since the same was announced. However, the CEO dodged offering any detailed explanation for why the phone has taken so long to make it to the market. He said, ‘Those delays were worth it in our minds as we are delivering an amazing product.’
Your Smartphone Will Soon Warn You If Someone Is Spying On It
Apart from the release news, Trump Mobile also gave USA Today the first promotional video for the phone. Moreover, it shows the redesigned handset, which appeared on the official website of the company last month, along with its packaging as well. Furthermore, it also looks like the phone will have a clear plastic case, a power brick, and a gold braided USB-C cable.
That’s not it, as the phone has recently been certified by both PTCRB and FCC as well. In addition, The Verge also reported last week that the T1 phone by Trump Mobile has been added to Google’s public list of devices certified for Google Play. This particular step could be dubbed one of the final ones before an Android phone is launched. No other detail related to the phone has made it to the public domains yet. Speculations are that we will get to know more about the same in the coming days if things don’t go off-track again.
