Samsung is all set to refresh its foldable lineup later this year and the first look at the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has already surfaced online. Leaked CAD renders, shared through collaborations involving tipster OnLeaks and MyMobiles, give us an early glimpse of what the South Korean tech giant might be planning. At first glance, the changes seem… subtle. Very subtle, in fact. Keep reading to find out everything we know so far about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Design And Specifications (Leaked)
If you were expecting a dramatic redesign, then there’s a bad news for you as the South Korea-based smartphone maker appears to be sticking closely to the Galaxy Z Flip 7’s design language.
The clamshell form factor remains unchanged, along with the outer display and dual camera setup. Even the overall layout looks nearly identical. The only noticeable tweak is a slight reduction in thickness. Leaks suggest the device could be about 0.5mm thinner when folded. Display sizes are also expected to remain the same, both for the cover screen and the inner foldable panel.
The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is expected to be powered by the Exynos 2600 chipset, which should offer a performance bump over the previous generation.
There are also hints of a slightly larger battery, though exact capacity details are still unclear. Improvements may extend to display refinement as well, with rumours pointing towards a less visible crease on the foldable screen. As for the cameras, don’t expect major upgrades this time. Current leaks suggest the setup will remain largely unchanged.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 Launch Date And Expected Price In India
According to a report by Korea Economic TV, the South Korean smartphone maker is likely to host its Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on July 22. This is where the Galaxy Z Flip 8, alongside the Z Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Wide, is expected to be launched.
Lastly, leaks suggest the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 could launch in India at around Rs 1,19,999 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
