It seems John Ternus is going all in as he takes over as Apple’s CEO. After launching its first foldable iPhone Duo and the new iPhone 18 Pro models last month, the Cupertino-based tech giant earlier this week introduced new products for its smart home ecosystem. Now, a new report claims that Apple has more products lined up for launch before October ends, including a redesigned MacBook Pro, a new iPad mini and Macs powered by its next-generation M6 chips.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple has started inviting selected members of the media to a product launch experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, October 28. Gurman described it as an ‘all-day product launch experience’ that will focus on touchscreen MacBooks, a new iPad mini and Macs equipped with M6 chips.
However, it is not yet clear whether Apple will announce these products on October 28 or unveil them earlier, followed by hands-on sessions for the media.
Touch-screen MacBook Pro, M6 Macs And New iPad Mini: What To Expect
One of the biggest expected announcements is the redesigned MacBook Pro. Apple is reportedly preparing new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with OLED displays, a Dynamic Island and a lighter design.
The move may bring a major change to Apple’s MacBook lineup, as the company has traditionally relied on LCD and mini-LED displays for its MacBook Pro models. A touchscreen display would also mark a significant shift in how users interact with their Macs.
Earlier rumours suggested that Apple may introduce the new laptops under the MacBook Ultra name. However, recent reports show that the company may continue using the MacBook Pro branding.
Apple is also expected to launch updated 14-inch MacBook Pro and iMac models powered by its M6 chips. These new processors could bring improvements in performance and power efficiency, although the exact specifications remain unknown.
The iPad mini may also receive a major upgrade. The upcoming model is expected to feature an OLED display, a front-facing camera positioned for landscape video calls and a redesigned speaker system.
Apple has not officially confirmed the launch date or specifications of these products.
