Nvidia Has A New Mission, Wants To Go Big On Personal And Physical AI

As artificial intelligence continues to grow, several tech giants are now racing to build personal AI devices. Nvidia has announced new partnerships with the biggest companies from South Korea: SK Hynix, Naver and Doosan Group. As per Reuters, these deals will strengthen the AI infrastructure and develop personal AI and physical AI.
The deals were announced on Monday during Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to South Korea, where the chip maker is working with local firms to build data centres, improve memory technology and support the rising demand for AI services around the world.

All About The Nvidia Deals
As part of the deal, Nvidia and SK Hynix will reportedly develop advanced memory solutions for AI data centres. For those unaware, memory chips help in handling the large amounts of data needed by AI systems.
SK Hynix reportedly said the deal will help the company to explore emerging areas such as personal AI, which focuses on AI assistants for individuals, physical AI, which powers robots and machines that can interact with the real world. The company highlighted that the deal may help ensure a stable supply of advanced memory chips.

New Data Centres Coming
The partnership extends beyond chip tech. SK telecom, another major company with the SK Group, reportedly said that it aims to build a gigawatt-scale AI cloud platform in South Korea using Nvidia’s tech. This first AI data centre under the project is likely to start operations in 2027.

Project Robotics
Doosan, which makes materials used in Nvidia’s advanced Blackwell chips and is developing robotic tech, is reportedly expecting energy solutions to be integrated into future AI data centre platforms. The company also plans to use Nvidia’s physical AI tech to support its robotics goals.
These announcements come at a time when Huang is meeting high-profile business leaders in South Korea, cementing strong partnerships between the American chipmaking company and the big tech executives. This reflects how Nvidia is expanding beyond AI chips and builder wider ecosystem that involves cloud infrastructure, advanced memory, and robotics.
