Thousands of users are currently facing issues with X (formerly Twitter), with Downdetector showing over 21,000 reports. Users report problems with login, app access, and timelines not loading. The outage appears to be widespread, affecting core features of Elon Musk’s platform, causing the app to even crash.
According to outage tracking platform Downdetector.com, nearly 21,000 users in the United States are currently reporting issues with X (formerly Twitter). Around 50% of users are facing problems with their feed or timeline, 41% are experiencing issues with the app, while about 6% report difficulties accessing the website.
By 5 pm ET the outages appeared to have been resolved, according to DownDetector. “Why does it seem like X goes down or struggles to load at least once a week now???” one social media user wrote on rival messaging platform Bluesky.
Some users were able to see the funny side of the minor inconvenience. “X was down for few minutes and I didn’t know what app to check,” wrote one user, adding a laughing emoji.
