iPhone Fold Or iPhone Ultra? Expected Specs, Price And Everything We Know So Far

Apple has been making headlines as the company is expected to launch its first-ever foldable smartphone in September 2026 along with the iPhone 18 Pro series. Various leaks have surfaced online hinting at an imminent launch of the device. While some leaks call the device as iPhone Ultra, others label it as iPhone Fold. Notably, Apple has not confirmed the device so far. Here are details on leaked design, display, hardware, battery and expected release timeline.

iPhone Ultra Expected Specifications
As per a tipster Digital Chat Station, Apple may call its first foldable smartphone as iPhone Ultra. Various leaks indicate that Apple is working on a book-style foldable rather than a flip style device. One of the notable rumour about the device is that Apple has found a way to reduce and even eliminate the display crease. If achieved, this could become one of the phone’s biggest selling points, as visible creases have remained a common criticism of foldable smartphones.
Industry analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that the flagship may feature a 5.5-inch outer display and a 7.8-inch internal screen. This device is likely to measure around 4.5mm to 4.8mm when unfolded and about 9mm to 9.5mm when folded.
Moreover, Apple’s first foldable iPhone may run the company’s latest A-series chip and could include 12GB of RAM. This smartphone could debut with a dual back camera setup, front-facing camera that works in both folded and unfolded modes and a large 5,500mAh battery.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Kuo have often suggested that the foldable iPhone remains on track for a 2026 launch, with mass production expected to start before its release.

iPhone Ultra Expected Pricing
Apple’s first foldable iPhone is unlikely to be affordable. As per various leaks circulating online, the device may start between $2,000 and $2,500, making it one of the most expensive iPhones ever released.
In India, the price of the smartphone could begin between Rs 2,10,000 and Rs 2,30,000.
