Many users of X have reported issues with the service, including error messages stating “the page is down” and difficulties refreshing posts. According to Downdetector, complaints rose sharply as users said they were unable to log in or access key features.
The disruption prompted widespread reaction online, with some users turning to other platforms to verify whether the service was experiencing an outage.
At the time of writing, more than 4,000 incidents had been reported on Downdetector.
